Karen Ishida, a former member of the popular idol group Idoling!!!, is stepping into the world of adult entertainment, choosing to continue her career under her real name. In a recent interview conducted by Kagurazaka Bunji, Ishida discussed her journey and the challenges of transitioning from idol to adult film actress.

Ishida admitted that the transition has been both exhilarating and daunting. “I have experience in swimwear modeling, but being completely exposed was unexpectedly embarrassing,” she shared, reflecting on her first experiences in front of the camera. “I never imagined the level of vulnerability that comes with this job.”

Her fans have been largely supportive of her new career path. “There are still people who say, ‘I support you,’ which means a lot to me,” Ishida remarked, acknowledging the mixed reactions she has received. She expressed her gratitude for the encouragement, especially during personal interactions at events.

While she was aware of the adult film industry, Ishida admitted she had no previous exposure to it. “I had never watched any of those films and really had no idea what to expect,” she said, noting her surprise at the filming process, which lacks the structured poses typical of idol performances. “It was shocking to learn that filming can be done in long takes without cuts.”

As she prepares for her debut, Ishida is keenly aware of the need for individuality in the adult film industry, which differs from the idol world where the emphasis is often on cuteness and charm. “I feel that my unique personality is important, and I want to present the real Karen Ishida to my audience,” she stated.

Looking ahead, Ishida expressed a desire to explore her own sexual liberation through her work, viewing this new chapter as an opportunity for personal growth. “I think I will encounter experiences here that I would never have in real life, and I’m excited for that,” she explained.

Despite her new direction, Ishida feels a sense of closure regarding her idol past. “My time as an idol ended on October 31, 2015, and I want to move forward without revisiting that chapter,” she reflected.
