On September 24, 2024, Watanabe Entertainment announced the formation of a new young actor unit called "WAVE." This development marks a significant milestone as it coincides with the 20th anniversary of the D-Boys, a prominent group that has produced talented actors such as Koji Seto and Yuki Yamada.

The name "WAVE" is derived from the initials of four words: "Watanabe," "Actor," "Vivid," and "Emotion." This reflects the colorful individuality of Watanabe Entertainment's young actors, symbolizing their aspiration to navigate the dynamic waves of the entertainment industry.

The group consists of seven members: Aren Sakurai, Iuchi Haruhi, Shoki Nakayama, Hanamichi Ueno, Sosuke Ogata, Ryunosuke Kashimata, and Hinata Inoue. They are currently making their debut in the TV Asahi series "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger," where they take on their first leading roles.

WAVE is set to make their official debut at the "Watanabe Actors Star Fes," scheduled for November 16 at TFT Hall 1000 in Tokyo. The event will also feature appearances by other well-known actors, including Keito Suna, and Sora Inoue, offering fans an opportunity to engage with the performers through various interactive activities.

Member Aren Sakurai expressed his enthusiasm for the new unit, stating, "As WAVE, I want to challenge myself and expand my range of self-expression.
