Seven-member idol group Mazari has announced the passing of member Kokoro Urin. The news was shared through the group's official X account on February 25, expressing deep sorrow over the sudden loss.
The statement conveyed that Urin passed away on February 24 and thanked fans for their continued support. It also acknowledged the shock and grief felt by the members, affiliated artists, and staff, stating that the loss was difficult to accept. The group further noted that, in accordance with the wishes of Urin’s family, details regarding the funeral would not be made public.
Urin’s health had been a concern in recent weeks. On February 19, it was revealed through the group’s X account that she had suffered a spinal fracture, requiring surgery. As a result, she was scheduled to take a break from performances on February 25 and 26. To avoid strain, she had been performing while seated, with the group prioritizing her well-being. Even as recently as mid-February, she had been seen on stage in this adjusted capacity.
Just a day before her passing, another update mentioned that Urin was experiencing back pain and would be resting as a precaution ahead of her surgery. The unexpected news of her death has left fans and those close to her in shock.
In their message, Mazari emphasized that Urin will always remain a part of the group, a cherished member whose presence will never be forgotten.
