KAT-TUN, one of the most iconic groups in J-pop history, has officially disbanded as of March 31, marking the end of their 25-year journey. To bid farewell, the group held a special live stream for their fan club, reflecting on their time together and expressing gratitude to their supporters.
The live stream took place in a studio filled with memories, the same location where they filmed their debut music video in 2006. Kazuya Kamenashi, Tatsuya Ueda, and Yuichi Nakamaru stood together one last time, kicking off the event with a heartfelt performance of "Real Face#2." Nakamaru, speaking on behalf of the group, expressed deep appreciation for the fans and acknowledged the contributions of former members Jin Akanishi, Junnosuke Taguchi, and Koki Tanaka.
Ueda, overcome with emotion, thanked fans for supporting them through the group’s many ups and downs. He admitted that KAT-TUN had become an irreplaceable part of his life and vowed to continue entertaining fans in his own way moving forward. Kamenashi, who is leaving the agency along with the group’s disbandment, reflected on their journey, describing KAT-TUN as a team that always aimed to break new ground in the industry. With tears in his eyes, he expressed his gratitude to those who had supported him over the years and asked fans to continue cheering for Ueda and Nakamaru as they move forward individually.
Fans took to social media to share their emotions, making KAT-TUN trend on X. Old performance clips resurfaced as messages of gratitude and admiration poured in, celebrating the group’s legacy.
On X, former member Jin Akanishi also expressed his thoughts on KAT-TUN's disbandment, adding:
"KAT-TUN, thank you so much. To everyone in KAT-TUN and all the Hyphens, thank you for everything! But tomorrow will still come, so... let’s get started!"

Kazuya Kamenashi also shared a heartfelt message on Instagram alongside a photo of the three members together:
*"Thank you, KAT-TUN.
And to everyone who has been involved and supported us,
we express our deepest gratitude.
25 years—truly, thank you."*
