AKB48 member Miu Shitao has joined talent agency Ohta Production.

In a statement, Shitao confirmed that she will continue her activities with AKB48 while taking on new opportunities under the agency. "I hope to learn many things in this new environment and show everyone how much I have grown," she said. "I will approach each opportunity sincerely and continue working hard without forgetting my gratitude to everyone who supports me."

Shitao joined AKB48’s Team 8 in 2014 at the age of 13. She later gained attention through the 2018 survival program 'PRODUCE 48' and was selected for her first AKB48 single senbatsu with "NO WAY MAN."

Shitao made her film debut in a leading role in 'Pecopin and the Devil' in 2023 and released her first photobook, 'Boku Dake no Mono,' in 2024.
