On May 17, former SKE48 member Sara Suzuki (19) updated fans on X, sharing that she had completed surgery and returned from the intensive care unit.

Suzuki joined SKE48 as a 12th generation member in 2023 before graduating in 2025.

Earlier this year, she was announced as a new member of idol group Nü FEEL., but later revealed in February that she had suffered a stroke. On May 9, it was announced that she would no longer be joining the group.

After sharing on X on May 12 that she was heading into surgery, Suzuki updated fans following the procedure, writing, "I've returned from the ICU. It's about 10 times harder than I imagined."
