Former AKB48 member Yui Yokoyama announced on June 15 that she is expecting her first child. 

In a joint statement with her husband, Junretsu's Shota Gogami, the couple wrote, "We would like to share that we are expecting a new addition to our family. We are supporting one another as a couple and eagerly looking forward to the day we can welcome our new family member." They also revealed that the baby is due this fall. 

Regarding her future activities, Yokoyama said she plans to continue working while prioritizing her health. She also expressed her gratitude to fans and those who have supported her career, adding that she hopes they will continue to watch over her warmly.

A ninth generation member of AKB48, Yokoyama served as the group's General Manager from 2015 to 2019 before graduating in December 2021. She married Gogami in December 2024.
