Kobukuro will release their 36th single, "Kasumi Biyori / Starry Smile Story," on July 22.
Marking the duo's first new single in approximately three years, the release will include the ballad "Kasumi Biyori," which reflects on memories shared with a loved one and the sense of loss that remains, as well as "Starry Smile Story," that's currently being used in West Japan Railway Company's "Ugoke, Kokishin" campaign CM.
The single will also contain the track "Message Card," which portrays exchanges between a man and woman through everyday conversation.
The limited first edition will include a Blu-ray featuring footage from 'Kobukuro Orchestra Night,' an orchestral concert held at NHK Hall in Tokyo in 2018 to celebrate the duo's 20th anniversary. The performance featured the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, marking Kobukuro's first orchestral live concert.
In addition, to commemorate the duo's 25th major debut anniversary, vinyl editions of their first three albums —"Roadmade," "grapefruits," and "STRAIGHT" — will also be released on July 22.
