A life-size golden statue of Kenshiro, the protagonist of 'Fist of the North Star' by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, is currently on display at the 'Golden Exhibition' being held at Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store.
The statue stands approximately 1.93 meters tall and is covered with 1,500 sheets of gold leaf. It carries an estimated value of 44 million yen (about $300,000 USD).
A smaller pure-gold Kenshiro figure, standing about 11 centimeters tall and weighing roughly 60 grams, is also being sold at the event for approximately 5.368 million yen (about $36,000 USD).
The 'Golden Exhibition' will run through June 8.
