Shun Oguri has joined the cast of TBS drama LOST10, marking his first regular tv drama role in five years, and his first on-screen collaboration with Ryusei Yokohama.
An original suspense drama, LOST10 follows detective Ogoma (Yokohama) as he investigates a mysterious mountain accident in Hokkaido known as the Shikaradake Incident. It's produced by Junko Arai (N no Tame ni, Saiai), directed by Ayuko Tsukahara, and written by Satoko Okudera.
Oguri will play Nao, a freelance insurance investigator who alternates between ally and rival as he forms an unlikely partnership with Ogoma.
Yokohama commented, "Getting to work with Oguri-san made joining this project even more meaningful to me." Meanwhile, Oguri said, "This is my first time working with Yokohama-kun, and he's incredibly sincere and passionate. He's simply fantastic. Ogoma is a role that suits him perfectly, and it's been a privilege to watch him work through the role on set."
Filming has taken place across Hokkaido, including Sapporo, Yoichi, and Asahikawa, with the cast and crew shooting in challenging mountain locations.
LOST10 is set to premiere in October and will air every Friday at 10:00 p.m. JST.
