The music video for Hikaru GENJI's debut single "STAR LIGHT" has been released on YouTube to commemorate the group's 39th anniversary.
Hikaru GENJI was formed on June 25, 1987 by bringing together the five-member group GENJI and the duo Hikaru. The seven-member lineup consisted of Kazumi Morohoshi, Hiroyuki Sato, Atsuhiro Sato, Junichi Yamamoto, Akira Akasaka, Koji Uchiumi, and Mikio Osawa. The group made their debut later that year with "STAR LIGHT," a song written by CHAGE and ASKA, which quickly became known for its acrobatic roller-skating performances.
Released to mark the group's 39th anniversary, the video takes fans back to Hikaru GENJI's debut era, capturing the seven members roller-skating through the streets in matching denim outfits.
