Japanese rock group D'espairsRay has just announced a cancellation for some of their World Tour stops in the United States. They posted on their official site that they will not be going to Atlanta, Houston, or Dallas, due to 'unforeseen complications.' Although the site doesn't list the reasons for the cancellations, it does explain the difficulty in organizing tours in America and that the length of the tour depends greatly on the success of tours before. D'espairsRay hasn't been in America since 2008, so they are basically starting from scratch again.
This sort of thing happens to tours all the time and the management of D'espairsRay is asking the fans to please be courteous and not blame the members of the band. Hopefully the 2010 tour will be successful enough to warrant an expanded tour in the US in 2011.
The other tour stops are still scheduled without issue and fans should definitely show up to support the band. Tickets are still on sale for most locations, so pick yours up today!
D'espairsRay World Tour 2010: US leg
August 3rd - Los Angeles, CA
August 4th - San Francisco, CA (with autograph session)
August 6th - Seattle, WA
August 9th - Chicago, IL
August 11th - Toronto, ON
August 12th - New York, NY
There are also promotions and contests running on the site for backstage passes and free tickets. The band is definitely trying to make the unfortunate cancellations up to their fans. After the American section of their tour they will be going to Europe and then back to Japan.
