SMAP�s Kusanagi Tsuyoshi will be facing a challenge for his upcoming TV special � to live on plants for four days. That means he will be eating nothing but plants right before SMAP�s Tokyo Dome concerts!

The TV special where Kusanagi will be doing the challenge is called �????????????????????????????????4????????????????????????????????????????????SP? (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi�s one-man 3hr golden time special! ~Living on plants for 4 days. If food vanishes from earth, would you be able to live on plants? Live as weed special~).

The challenge involves Kusanagi living on a garden rooftop of an apartment building together with a 6-month-old Alpaca named Momo-chan. While doing the challenge, Kusanagi visited many vegetarian celebrities to seek advice about edible plants, had vegetarian cooking sessions, and ate vegetarian BBQ.

When asked about why Kusanagi was chosen for this challenge, the producers simply said that his name had this kanji �?� (meaning plants or grass) which went well with the show�s theme.

The TV special will be aired on October 5 on TV Asahi at 7pm. Let�s see if he can survive SMAP�s first performance with only plants in his stomach.
