AKB48's "YJ7" revealed, fighting for Shueisha

The weekly manga and pictorial magazine "Young Jump" has finally revealed the line-up of their temporary AKB48 team "Young Jump 7" (YJ7).

In case you don't know, around one year ago the publisher Shueisha came up with the idea of having their two popular pictorial magazines, "Weekly Playboy" and "Young Jump" go up against each other. Each magazine selecting seven members from the idol group AKB48 and having them compete on making the most beautiful pictorials. After six months of several nice pictorials, special mooks, posters and so on, readers and fans then had the chance to choose their favorite team.

Last year, "Team Weekly Playboy" won, but the magazine won't compete again this time. Instead publisher Kodansha decided to have their own manga/pictorial magazine "Young Magazine" go up against Shueisha and their "Young Jump". Thus, we're going to see a fierce battle between the two major publishers Shueisha and Kodansha this year. They call it the "AKB48 Jinbocho Gokokuji Taisen", in which Jinbochi is the home district of Shueisha and Gokokuji a famous temple in the district of Bunkyo, the location Kodansha's head office.

The lineup and "introduction pictorial" for the members of "Young Magazine 7" (YM7) had already been revealed earlier this week, but unfortunately we are still lacking some decent scans. However, we do have some nice scans of "Young Jump" and therefore we are able to look at YJ7 first. Their team includes: Minegishi Minami, Kitahara Rie, Ichikawa Miori, Yamauchi Suzuran, Yokoyama Yui, Sato Amina and Ota Aika.

The introduction set of "Young Jump" features their choice of seven idols in a simple yet beautiful pure white set.

Even though we have yet to see some decent scans of YM7, are you already leaning towards YJ7?
