Actress and ex-idol, Minamino Yoko, stunned fans with a surprise announcement on March 2nd about how she is now married to a man she met only half a year ago.

According to official reports, her new husband is a 39-year-old manager, a sincere man who does not work in the entertainment industry. The two met in a yakiniku restaurant last September and immediately hit it off, so they decided to get married with the coming of the new year.

Minamino requested that their wedding be held on March 3rd, which is a special holiday called "Hinamatsuri" in Japan. The holiday is a time for families to pray for their young daughters' growth and happiness, which fits neatly with the themes of a wedding ceremony. The ceremony itself was small and only included relatives and close friends of the couple.

Friends of the new bride have told reporters that Minamino wanted to marry when she was twenty-three, but because that did not happen, she instead aimed towards getting married within ten years.
