Actress Nakama Yukie (31) has been chosen as the ambassador of NHK's new channel,�"BS Premium", which will launch on April 1st, and held a press conference at NHK Tokyo on March 1st.

Upon accepting the title, Nakama expressed, "I'm honored to be able to take on the role of the first ambassador [of BS Premium] and aid NHK in making history. We want to spread our wonderful, high quality programs to numerous people".

The actress will appear in a special program to introduce the appeal of the new programs on April 1st starting from 6 AM. Despite the early start, Nakama displayed her zeal, stating, "I would even be fine starting at 4 in the morning".

The actress will also be starring in "Tempest", a drama portraying the Ryukyu Dynasty, which premieres in July.
