Nikkan Sports recently reported that actor Uchino Masaaki and actress Ichiro Maki could be heading towards a divorce.

According to Nikkan Sports, one of the reasons for the possible divorce could be that Uchino has prioritized his work without regard to his family even after they had a child. Because of that, it was difficult for Ichiro to feel a strong family bond with him. �Back in February 2010, it was reported that the couple were living separately for Uchino to focus more on his work.

The media also wrote that another possible reason could be Uchino's cheating scandal which was reported on a gossip magazine in September 2010. Although Ichiro stated that she would trust him at first, it seems that attitude has changed.�

Nikkan Sports estimated that they would register their divorce as early as�the end of�this month when Uchino finishes filming for ongoing drama "JIN-?-", or by the end of June after the drama ends it's broadcasting run.

Regarding Nikkan Sports' article, Nittere News 24 asked Ichiro's agency, and everything in regards to this rumor was denied.
