Child actress Ohashi Nozomi (12) will be entering junior high school next April and the rumors of her taking a break from the entertainment industry are growing stronger.

Today, the young actress attended the illumination event of the 'Crystal Tree' at the Nihonbashi Takashimaya department store in Tokyo, which was part of the '2011 Takashimaya Christmas made with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS' campaign. The media in attendance were quite eager to get a comment regarding a possible indefinite hiatus, but Ohashi remained silent on that matter.

Ohashi's agency also refused to either deny nor confirm the rumor.

They commented, "We don't want to make a comment on that matter right now. We are aware of the various reports and speculations. If there is going to be an announcement, it will be done at an appropriate time."

Although we still need official confirmation, fans and general netizens seem to welcome the decision and left comments such as: "A wise choice", "She should completely focus on her studies until she enters senior high school", and "That would be a nice decision! She should work hard towards her dream of becoming a day care worker!"

However, there are also those who believe that the rising popularity of fellow child actress Ashida Mana (7) could be the biggest reason for a hiatus.

Moving on, the reporters certainly didn't only ask Ohashi about her future career. It was a Christmas event after all and she even had the opportunity to wear various Swarovski accessories herself, such as a necklace, ring, and hair comb.

She commented, "I've never put on so many accessories before. I almost feel like a young lady."

Ohashi also revealed some of the Christmas routines of her family. She said, "My elder sister and I always decorate a tiny white Christmas tree. On Christmas Eve we have a nice dinner with the whole family."

Furthermore she was asked what kind of Christmas present she would like to receive from a boy, which caused her to think for a while. Then she came up with an answer and replied, "I want a sparkling plush toy!"
