All the networks finally recovered from the Olympics by the end of the last week and many of the regular and popular shows are now back in full swing. The same can be said for most of the dramas, although they weren't nearly as strong as the variety shows.

The Friday golden prime time slot was suddenly filled with shows recording ratings higher than 10% again, including the Friday drama 'Kuro no Onnakyoshi' (TBS), which was able to climb up by another 1.0% (rating: 10.4%) after last week's plus of 0.6%. 'Boys on the Run' (TV Asahi), which was still delayed because of that baseball show, even improved by 2.0% (rating: 6.1%).

Saturday drama 'Ghost Mama Sousasen' (NTV) didn't belong to the list of winners on the weekend, because it had to against the annual horror drama special 'Honto ni Atta Kowai Hanashi'. It lost 0.8% and dropped down to 9.5% again. The latter, featuring stars like�Yamashita Tomohisa, Gouriki Ayame, Okada Masaki, Sugichan, and Karina, recorded a rating of 16.0%. Late-night drama 'Sprout' (NTV) only improved by 0.1%, but this was enough to record a new personal best of 3.0%.

On Sunday it seemed like there were only winners and no losers at all. 'Taira no Kiyomori' (NHK) thankfully improved by 2.9% (rating: 10.7%), while 'Summer Rescue' (TBS) returned from a one-week break with an extra-long episode and a whooping plus of 3.6% (rating: 10.4%). It suffered from an almost as sharp decline previously, but it didn't take long for it to recover from the slump. 'Beautiful Rain' (Fuji TV) was delayed a bit due to a soccer match, but it also recorded a plus of 0.7% (rating: 8.7%).
