It's been revealed that actor Takenouchi Yutaka will serve as the navigator for NHK's special documentary program, 'Shusen Ketsudan ~Naze Motto Hayaku Dekinakattanoka~' (tentative title).

As this will be his first time navigating a war documentary, Takenouchi expressed, "I will do my best, so people will come to know the 'truth'."

He further stated, "After starring in 'Taiheiyou no Kiseki -Fox to Yobereta Otoko-' (war film released in 2011), I thought about how I shouldn't forget about the 'war', and I realized that I should tell people about it. When I received this offer, I felt that this was a mission that was given to me, and so I accepted it."

'Shusen Ketsudan ~Naze Motto Hayaku Dekinakattanoka' is a documentary that will focus on the last few years of the Pacific War. It will broadcast on NHK Sougou on August 15 at 7:30PM JST.
