On December 6th, Miyasako Hiroyuki (42) of comedian duo Ameagari Kesshitai made an official announcement through his agency�that he has been diagnosed with early stage stomach cancer.

He was admitted into the hospital on the same day, and he will be getting a surgery for 'laparoscopic pyloromyotomy removal' on December 7th. While in the hospital, he will take a break from work and will concentrate on treatment. His return will be decided upon the doctor's approval.

Miyasako was diagnosed with early stage stomach cancer when he went to see a doctor in late-November. "Fortunately it was discovered in the early stages, so I can recover completely if I undergo surgery," he said. He continued, "I have caused you to worry, but I will get better without fail and come back even funnier. Please look forward to a neo Miyasako!"

On Twitter, Miyasako has been receiving many words of encouragement from his comedian friends. He expressed, "Thank you very much for your concerns and messages of support m(_ _)m I am thankful from the bottom of my heart. Everything will become my strength(^O^)?."
