On April 17th, stage actor Saotome Taichi and model Nishiyama Maki announced that they are planning to register their marriage in June. They also revealed that Nishiyama is currently in the third month of pregnancy.

They wrote, "First of all, we would like to sincerely apologize for causing such trouble to everybody," regarding the series of reports about them.

Then they�revealed that they started their relationship in June the year before last, and eventually started living together.

They continued, "In the�beginning�of this year, we both kept our distance from each other. Though it was reported that we ended our relationship, we had not completely broken up. While supporting each other, we went back to living together soon after. Since every report on our�relationship�got quite big, people might have a negative image toward us, but our lives are very steady."

According to the announcement, the couple have been dating with a view of marriage�ever since they started their relationship, which was also recognized officially by both of their agencies, and Nishiyama is now in the third month of pregnancy. They said, "Even though the order (of the marriage process) is reversed, we both feel gratitude and joy toward the new member of the family. We are planning to register our marriage sometime in June."

The couple concluded the announcement with,�"We would�appreciate�your continuous support."
