On June 25, it was announced that actress Ueto Aya will serve as the charity personality for NTV's annual charity program, '24-Hour Television 36 Ai wa Chikyuu wo Sukuu'.
Ueto, who will be teaming up with Arashi on the program, expressed, "While 2 years have passed since the earthquake, I feel that there is still so much that we have to do. Through '24-Hour Television', I hope to find something I can do and run at full speed."
It was also announced that announcers Hattori Shinichi and Masu Taichi will be the general MCs.
The theme of this year's program is "Nippon tte...? ~Kono Kuni no Katachi" ("What is Japan...? ~The Shape of This Country"), bringing viewers to think of the shape of their country by learning of both the positive and negative aspects of Japan.
