4-member band SEKAI NO OWARI's 2nd album "Tree" (released January 14) sold 248,000 copies during the first week and topped Oricon's weekly album ranking.
"Tree" is the band's very first chart-topping album since they made their major debut in August 2011, as their previous album "ENTERTAINMENT" (releaed in July 2012) was ranked No.2 at best.
In addition, the first week sales for this new album was a lot more than the previous one's (65,000 copies).
On a side note, SEKAI NO OWARI is scheduled to hold a 2-day live concert at Nissan Stadium in this July.
