Voice actor Kaneta Kimotsuki, who is best known as the voice for 'Suneo' from popular anime "Doraemon," passed away at the age of 80 due to pneumonia.

Kaneta's agency made the announcement stating, "While undergoing treatment, he passed away on October 20 from pneumonia at the age of 80."

Kaneta was the voice for 'Suneo' from the very beginning until 2005 when the new "Doraemon" series began airing with new voice actors. Besides 'Suneo,' Kaneta voiced 'Tonoma Kazuto' in "Dokamen," 'Kamumaki Kemuzo' in "Ninja Hattori-kun," and 'Iyami' in "Osomatsu-kun."

Our condolences go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
