Piko has announced that he will be halting his activities from live concerts and events.
Piko was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease, which is the last stage of chronic kidney disease, and has been hospitalized since late-June. Although he will be discharged soon, he decided to halt his activities as he must undergo treatment. As such, his concert on October 13 at mito LIGHT HOUSE (Ibaraki) and November 4 at Shimokitazawa ReG (Tokyo) have been cancelled.
Piko is scheduled to have his tonsils removed and have a kidney transplant [from his parents]. He commented, "If the transplant goes well, my activities will be further expanded. I've been causing so much trouble, and I'll even be receiving a kidney. I feel very bad that to be a pitiful son, but I will get better and repay them in double."
