The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced the winners of 'THE 34th JAPAN GOLD DISC AWARD.'

Awards are based on sales numbers, and the winners of this year were chosen from data compiled between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019. The 'Artist of the Year' award, which goes to the artist with the biggest sales for the year, went to popular group Arashi, who will be going on hiatus after this year. This is the group's sixth time winning this award.
