'TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL' to be held online this year

TH STAFF

It's been announced that the 'TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2020,' which was scheduled to be held from October 2 to 4 in Odaiba, has been cancelled.

'TIF' is usually held annually during the summer, but was pushed to fall as the Tokyo Olympics were scheduled to be held this summer. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event has been cancelled considering everyone's health and safety.

Although there will be no traditional event this year, the 'TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL' will be held virtually as an online festival. The organizers are planning various things to give participants an experience that they can only experience online. There will also be a project called 'Virtual TIF' in which virtual idols come together. The chairperson for both 'TIF Online 2020' and 'Virtual TIF' will be Sashihara Rino.
