On September 22nd, it was announced that HKT48 member Murashige Anna has been infected with the novel coronavirus.

Murashige's agency TWIN PLANET explained, "On the morning of September 20th (Sunday), she had a fever along with a sore throat and a sense of fatigue. Later that day she saw a doctor and took the PCR test. On September 21st (Monday), she received a diagnosis that she had been infected with the novel coronavirus. Under instruction from the health center, she has been receiving treatment in isolation from today, September 22nd (Tuesday)."

Due to her treatment, Mercury, who manages HKT48, will be making an announcement regarding cancellation or postponement of Murashige's handshake events and program appearances. In addition, they will be in contact with all related businesses and have all members and workers get tested.
