It's been reported that actor Tanaka Kunie passed away on March 24 due to old age. He was 88 years old.

Tanaka was born in Gifu Prefecture on November 23, 1932 and made his debut in the film 'Junai Monogatari' in 1957. He is known for starring in numerous dramas, including Fuji TV's 'Kita no Kuni Kara' and NHK's Taiga drama 'Shinsengumi!', as well as movies, such as 'Gakkou.' He received the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 1999 and the Order of the Rising Sun in 2006. 

Tanaka's funeral has already been held with family. There are no plans for a memorial event. We would like to express our deepest condolences to Tanaka's family during this time.
