Makihara Noriyuki has announced that he has resumed his activities. 

Makihara went on hiatus in February of last year after being arrested on suspicion of possessing stimulant drugs. On his official website, he commented, "After taking a break, I thought hard about my future, and realized that I only have music. I have decided to produce music." 

Makihara will digitally release his 23rd album "Yosoro" on his debut anniversary day, October 25. It will then be released in CD form on October 27. The track list will consist of 12 brand new songs. It will be released in both limited (CD+DVD) and regular editions (CD-Only), with the DVD containing the MV for "Yosoro" directed by Okubo Takuro. 

In addition, Makihara will release a book, titled 'Makihara Noriyuki Uta no Rirekisho,' on October 25. Through an interview with music critic Onuki Nobuaki, Makihara will talk about his songs including "Donna Toki mo." and "Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana," which he provided to SMAP, as well as his new album "Yosoro."
