On September 28th, Matsuda Ryuhei's agency OFFICE Saku updated their official website protesting an article published by weekly magazine 'FLASH' regarding the actor's relationship with illegal drug offenders. 

They commented, "On the October 12th issue of FLASH, it was reported that our company's Matsuda Ryuhei has a close relationship with some illegal drug offenders, but there is no such fact. The photo that was published was taken casually upon being asked by the accused who happened to be present at a venue for a music event. Besides this occasion, there is absolutely no acquaintance nor contact between the accused and Matsuda." 

They added, "FLASH's article was published on groundless content, causing obvious damage to Matsuda's reputation and image. As such, our company is making a strong protest against the magazine's editorial department and Kobunsha."
