On November 15, 2023, actor Junya Ikeda was re-arrested on suspicion of involvement in a fraudulent scheme by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police's Joto Police Station. The police allege that he unlawfully withdrew ¥1.5 million in cash from the bank accounts of a male victim who fell prey to a special fraud.

According to the Joto Police Station, on September 26, Ikeda reportedly used three cash cards belonging to a man in his 60s in Koto Ward, withdrawing ¥1.5 million from two different financial institutions. Prior to the incident, the victim received a phone call impersonating the police, falsely claiming, "Cash has been fraudulently withdrawn from your account. We will submit your cash card as evidence to the court," among other things. Ikeda, posing as a police officer, then visited the victim, collecting the cash cards.

Ikeda, known for his roles in "Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger" and other productions, had also been involved in scripting for theater performances in recent years. He was arrested last month on suspicion of swindling for deceiving a man into handing over his card. Following the earlier arrest, he was dismissed by his talent agency BaRU.

As of now, Ikeda has not disclosed whether he acknowledges or denies the allegations.
