EXILE's AKIRA and guitarist MIYAVI have joined forces as a special unit representing Japan on the popular Chinese streaming show "Call Me by Fire". AKIRA expressed his hope to deliver courage and hope through their performance.

"Call Me by Fire" is broadcast on Mango TV, China's leading video streaming platform with over 130 million downloads worldwide. The show features 34 artists from various countries, including China, the UK, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, the US, and Hong Kong, competing in singing, dancing, and acting battles, with winners decided by audience votes.

This marks the first time Japanese artists have appeared on the show. AKIRA, known for his work with EXILE and solo activities across Asia, has been receiving offers to participate for several years, while MIYAVI has been increasing his presence in China, earning recognition for his talents and achievements.

In their debut performance on August 3, MIYAVI's powerful guitar work was complemented by AKIRA's dynamic dance. The performance made waves on the social media platform Weibo, with "EXILE AKIRA" trending in the Hot Research Top 10.

AKIRA mentioned that their efforts in a foreign land with different languages and cultures reveal a new side of himself. Fans are eager to see how the duo will fare in the competition.
