SEKAI NO OWARI's vocalist Fukase is set to return to the big screen, this time lending his talents to the film adaptation of the popular manga series “Cells at Work!,” slated for release on December 13. In this movie, based on Akane Shimizu's original manga and its spinoff “Cells at Work BLACK” by Shigemitsu Harada, Issei Hatsuyoshi, and Akane Shimizu, Fukase will portray a significant character who poses a major challenge to the cellular protagonists.

“Cells at Work” is an imaginative story where human cells like white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets come to life, narrating the “smallest story in the world” within the human body. The film stars Mei Nagano as the red blood cell and Takeru Satoh as the white blood cell, with supporting roles from Mana Ashida and Sadao Abe as a human parent and child.

While the details of Fukase's character are still under wraps, it has been revealed that he will play a complex role, blending both love and hatred—a challenging task that he admitted tested his acting skills. Reflecting on his experience, Fukase shared, “This role required me to embody a character with deep, conflicting emotions. Although I don’t have extensive acting experience, the support I received on set was incredible.”
The film will also feature an impressive cast, including Shota Sometani, Kyoko Fukada, Rihito Itagaki, Ryo Kato, Seishiro Kato, Ainosuke Kataoka, and Maju Ozawa.
