Kenshi Yonezu's latest album LOST CORNER has officially surpassed 500,000 copies sold. According to Oricon’s weekly album ranking, released on September 25, the album sold 20,000 copies this week, bringing its total sales to 515,000 copies. This milestone makes Yonezu the first solo artist to achieve over 500,000 sales with two albums during the Reiwa era, which began on May 1, 2019.

LOST CORNER, released under Sony Music Labels, debuted at No. 1 on the September 2 chart, selling 377,000 copies in its first week. This marks Yonezu's fourth consecutive album to top the charts, and its first-week sales set a record for the highest first-week sales by a solo artist in 2024, surpassing Hikaru Utada’s SCIENCE FICTION, which sold 172,000 copies in its debut week.

The Reiwa era, Japan's current period, follows the Heisei era and is characterized by significant social and cultural changes. The name "Reiwa" translates to "beautiful harmony," reflecting a hopeful outlook for the future.

Yonezu's achievement with LOST CORNER further solidifies his remarkable discography, following his successful album STRAY SHEEP in 2020.
