Kana Kobayashi, former member of AKB48, recently shared on Instagram that she’s decided to leave her job in Ginza’s nightlife industry. Kobayashi, who joined AKB48 as a teen, has since experienced major life changes, including a divorce last year, which prompted her to begin working at a club to support her son.

Kobayashi reflected on the journey, saying, “I had set a goal for how long I would do this, and after my birthday this year, I was ready to move on.” She expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who supported her during her time working nights, saying that although it was brief, it helped her feel stronger.

As she steps forward, Kobayashi is focusing on a peaceful life with her child, with family as her top priority.
