XG, the hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group, has officially released their highly anticipated 2nd mini album, AWE, alongside a cinematic music video for the title track “HOWLING.” The release arrives nearly a year after their debut mini album, NEW DNA, continuing the group's journey with a theme focused on "awe"—the blend of fear and curiosity encountered in the face of the unknown.

The eight-track album AWE showcases XG’s evolving artistry, featuring collaborations with industry icons such as Jay Park, OZworld, AKLO, Paloalto, VERBAL, and Awich on tracks like the “WOKE UP REMIXX.” In addition to its title track, AWE includes pre-releases “SOMETHING AIN'T RIGHT” and “IYKYK.” The lead single, “HOWLING,” uniquely combines upright bass with layered synths, producing an immersive sound that highlights the group’s charisma and unity. The song’s powerful lyrics, “THAT’S HOW WE HOWL,” reflect XG’s collective strength and resilience.

The HOWLING music video further enhances this vision, depicting XG as travelers from space who arrive in a uniform city. As they explore, cracks in the rigid landscape appear, symbolizing XG’s intent to redefine and reshape their environment. The members’ “howling” motif parallels a wolf pack’s unity, underscoring their message of perseverance and transformation.

Currently on their first world tour, The First HOWL, XG has already drawn impressive numbers—around 120,000 fans across Asia and 50,000 in North America. Their UK and Europe tour will kick off in Manchester on November 18, with additional stops in London, Berlin, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.
