Actress Ryoko Hirosue, who was recently arrested on suspicion of assault, has tested negative for illegal substances such as stimulants in an initial voluntary drug screening. Authorities have confirmed that no banned drugs were detected at this stage.

Hirosue was taken into custody after an incident that took place in the early hours of April 8. Following a traffic accident on the Shin-Tomei Expressway, she was transported to a hospital in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where she allegedly kicked a nurse multiple times, causing minor injuries.

While no illegal substances were found, law enforcement will move forward with a more thorough forensic analysis. Investigators are also looking into the possibility that over-the-counter medication or other factors may have played a role in the crash and subsequent behavior.

The investigation remains ongoing as police work to understand what led to the unusual series of events.
