Actress Hikari Mitsushima (40) announced on March 30 via Instagram that she has remarried and is expecting her first child with model Keisuke Asano (32).

In a joint statement, the couple shared, "We would like to announce that we officially registered our marriage earlier. We are also expecting a new life."

They added, "With the support and warmth of people around us, we are prioritizing our physical and mental well-being and spending each day feeling happiness and a sense of wonder." 

Mitsushima, born in Okinawa, debuted as a member of the dance vocal group Folder before launching her acting career. Her younger brother is actor Shinnosuke Mitsushima. She was previously married to film director Yuya Ishii in October 2010, but the couple divorced in 2016. 

Asano, born in Sapporo, is a model represented by NEXT Management and is active both in Japan and New York.
