The Ravens has announced that drummer Makoto Sakurai has been rehospitalized, prompting the postponement and cancellation of the remaining two dates of the band's ongoing tour, 'The Ravens LIVE TOUR 2026 Gunzougeki.'
Sakurai, who was diagnosed with angina last year, experienced a recurrence of his symptoms after performing at the 'Kyoto Daisakusen 2026' music festival on July 4. Medical examinations later confirmed that he would require hospitalization once again.
As a result, the band's July 9 performance at Daikanyama UNIT in Tokyo has been postponed, while the July 10 show at 1000 CLUB in Kanagawa has been canceled. According to the announcement, the Kanagawa performance will not be rescheduled because the venue is set to close at the end of September. Details regarding the rescheduled Tokyo concert and ticket refunds for the canceled Kanagawa show will be announced at a later date.
In a statement shared on X, Sakurai apologized to fans, saying, "I'm truly sorry to everyone who purchased tickets and had been looking forward to the shows. For now, I'll focus on my treatment and recovery."
The Ravens said updates regarding the band's future schedule, as well as Sakurai's scheduled appearances with Dragon Ash, will be announced at a later date.
