Actress Maika Yamamoto has announced that she has left her agency, Asia Promotion, effective August 1.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Yamamoto thanked those who have supported her throughout her career and revealed that she has not yet decided on her next step. She also said she is not currently considering signing with another agency, adding that she wants to take time to think about the path she wishes to pursue.

Yamamoto has instead provided a contact email for future work inquiries, saying she hopes to continue moving forward while cherishing the relationships and experiences she has built over the years.

Yamamoto joined Asia Promotion in August 2024. She married MY FIRST STORY vocalist Hiro in October of that year, and announced in May that they expecting their first child.
