Japanese voice acting agency Intention, headed by voice actor Kenichi Suzumura, has announced that it will cease operations on March 31, 2027.
Founded by Suzumura in 2012 after his departure from Arts Vision, the agency represents several prominent voice actors, including Yuma Uchida, Nao Toyama, Yuichi Nakamura, Aya Endo, and Suzumura himself.
According to a statement on the agency's official website, the decision to close was made due to Suzumura's adjustment disorder diagnosis. The agency explained that doctors had advised that his condition would not improve as long as he remained involved in managing the company.
Intention stated that it will continue its management operations as usual until March 31, 2027, while providing support to its affiliated voice actors as they prepare for their future careers. The agency also asked fans to continue supporting its voice actors during the transition.
