The original COLOR members have reunited for the first time in about 18.5 years. Their new song, "It's Brand New," has been released today, February 5, and its music video is now available on YouTube.
COLOR was formed in 2004 by EXILE ATSUSHI, his local junior KIKURI, his friend from music school YORK, and TAKA, who was chosen through an audition. In 2006, all member except TAKA left, and new members joined, leading to the group's reformation as DEEP in 2009.
"It's Brand New" is the first new song in about 19 years, following the release of their single "Neiro" in December 2005. Regarding the new track, ATSUSHI commented, "This song represents a fresh start. It's a song filled with gratitude for being able to reunite in this limited life, and a celebration of the joy of singing together, as each of us has walked our own path independently."
The music video for "It's Brand New" features all four original COLOR members, along with members from DEEP / DEEP SQUAD such as YUICHIRO and KEISEI, THE JET BOY BANGERZ / DEEP SQUAD's Yuhi Uhara, WOLF HOWL HARMONY / DEEP SQUAD's YOJI and SUZUKI, DOBERMAN INFINITY's Kazuki Hayashi, JAY'ED, and MABU, totaling 12 participants in the video.
