On the 15th, AKB48�s Shinoda Mariko, was at a presentation event for the new hair coloring brand for men, �rexy�. Shinoda had written in her blog about her poor condition, �I left the press conference early because I got food poisoning early in the morning and I couldn�t move well and I couldn�t stand up for long periods of time. I�ve been taking care of myself, so this wasn�t due to a cold or being fatigued. I�ve caused you all to worry. I went to the hospital and rested and now I�m back to shooting, so really I�m fine. �Reporters and fans, I�m sorry for worrying you�.

Now that she is doing well, she energetically began her promotions for �rexy�. The name �rexy� is a combination of �restart� and the male chromosome �XY�. It�s a hair coloring brand directed towards young men, their concept is �A modern day man�s restart to a new self�. Today they were promoting three series of hair color, �rexy whip hair color�, �rexy bleach series� and �rexy hair color restoration�.

Shinoda has been selected as the image character for this brand. Starting on the 26th she will be featured in two CMs as �Neighbor Mariko Oneesan�. The two versions are the �bus version� and the �park version�. Shinoda will play the �Oneesan next door that you like�. Once the young men make a bold impression by coloring their hair, they can ride the morning bus together with Shinoda and have a friendly talk with Shinoda in the park on their day off. In the end, Shinoda will compliment the guy�s new hair and move her hand through it. A new version is already being planned for mid-April.

Lastly, Mariko confidently talked about her Valentine�s Day, �I usually don�t make anything, but this year I made cookies a week before. I gave them to people I am grateful to as well as the members of AKB48. They were really delicious and I think they came out that way because when I was making them I thought �these are going to be really delicious��.

On this day, there were 20 guys who had used rexy�s product and Shinoda went around stroking their hair and saying, �This suits you� and �What a good color�. She also gave them home-made cookies.
