It was announced that EXILE's AKIRA and actress Nakama Yukie will play a married couple on the Fuji TV Saturday drama "Honey Trap" that is slated to start in October.  AKIRA happily stated, "I am grateful that I was cast to co-star with Nakama Yukie, one of Japan's top actresses.  I think it would be great if I am able to learn from and grow [my acting skills.]"

This is a suspense drama revolving around the world of industrial spies. The drama depicts the trials that a man named Yuichi (AKIRA) must go through in order to regain everything that he has lost in both his professional and personal life after somebody stole the information of his new business.  Nakama plays the supportive wife of Yuichi who is targeted by invisible enemies.

The role of Yuichi poses a new challenge for AKIRA and is completely different from his roles as a hot-blooded teacher in "GTO" and a part-time worker, who is allergic to books, in "Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou."  This time around, he also stated spiritedly, "This is my first Saturday drama, and it is my first industrial spy suspense drama, so I am looking forward to it.  I will focus my heart and mind for my role in 'Honey Trap'; I think I will be able to show a completely different side of myself."

In addition, Akira stated, "From participating in the drama, I learned that Japan has industrial spies across the globe and that there might even be spies close to me," and continued with, "I think the intense and heart-pounding psychological battles and tactics with the story will change the perception of the importance of managing industrial data and personal information in contemporary Japan." 

Also starring in the drama are actors Takashima Masanobu, Ozawa Yukiyoshi, Ikeuchi Hiroyuki, and Uchiyama Rina.

"Honey Trap"  is set to start airing on Fuji TV in October every Saturday from 11:10 to 11:55 PM.
