It's been announced that NEWS member Tegoshi Yuya's contract with Johnny's & Associates has been terminated. 

Last month, some weekly magazines reported that Tegoshi attended a party with several women at a restaurant in Tokyo during the State of Emergency Declaration. As a result, his activities had been suspended, including his participation in Johnny's limited-time unit Twenty★Twenty's charity song "smile." 

After discussion with Tegoshi, it was decided that his contract would be terminated on June 19. Hereon, NEWS will continue to be active as a three-member group with Koyama Keiichiro, Kato Shigeaki, and Masuda Takahisa. 

Tegoshi made his debut as a member of NEWS in November of 2003. He was also one half of the unit Tegomass with Masuda. 

While Tegoshi has left Johnny's, it appears that he will continue his activities as a soloist. He has launched an official Twitter account (@YuyaTegoshi1054) to give further details on his future activities.
