Yamashita Tomohisa will be in charge of the ending theme for Hulu's original drama 'THE HEAD.' 

Set for a worldwide release on June 12, the drama is described as a survival mystery set in Antarctica. A team of researchers break all contact with the outside world to go on a mission under extreme circumstances. After six months, the team's colleagues go to where they had been researching to find that the members have died or are missing. Yamashita will play the role of 'Aki Kobayashi,' a young microbiologist with a bright future. 

For the drama, Yamashita wrote a brand new song titled "Nights Cold." He said, "When I heard about this tie-up, I was moved to tears. While cherishing the drama's worldview, I wrote the lyrics comparing that to love and unveiling its mysteries. It would make me happy if many people all over the world would listen to it."

"Nights Cold" will be released as Yamashita's new single on July 15. In addition, it will be available for download worldwide. The single's Limited Edition A will come with a DVD containing a documentary about the drama shoot in Iceland. Meanwhile, the Limited Edition DVD will include the music video for "Nights Cold."
