Urata Naoya (ex.AAA) has announced that he will be resuming his activities.
After being arrested on suspicion of assault in April of 2019, Avex Entertainment placed Urata on an indefinite hiatus. He later withdrew from AAA on December 31 that same year. Urata revealed that during the past two years, he felt that he should quit singing and end his activities as an artist. However, after Avex CEO Matsuura Masato asked him to be involved in producing music again, his feelings of wanting to sing had returned.
Urata is currently writing music to make an official comeback as a solo artist. He expressed, "People may say that I haven't reflected, repented, or suffered enough. But if there is at least one person waiting for me, I want to do my best from the very beginning to show my strong resolve that I will never hurt anybody again."
