Shinobu Kaitani's popular manga series LIAR GAME has released its 20th volume on October 19, marking the first new volume in approximately 11 and a half years.
Originally serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump from 2005 to 2015, LIAR GAME follows Nao Kanzaki, an honest college student who unexpectedly becomes involved in a high-stakes psychological competition organized by a mysterious group. The series has inspired live-action dramas, films, stage productions and a TV anime adaptation.
The new volume collects chapters from LIAR GAME The Last Game, which were serialized in Grand Jump Mucha and Grand Jump Mecha. The story follows Nao and the other characters as they face a new challenge after completing the final round of the original Liar Game.
The first season of the TV anime aired earlier this year, with a second season already confirmed to be in production.
Meanwhile, the 15th volume of Kaitani's ongoing manga Kamo no Negi ni wa Doku ga Aru: Kamo Kyoju no Ningen Keizaigaku Kogi was also released on October 19. A special giveaway campaign featuring collaboration merchandise is being held to celebrate the simultaneous releases.
